i’ve got to be at work in 5 hours, and i just can’t sleep. it’s strange how fast time goes by, as you get older. i just thought up a theory on how this works. When i was a kid, i remember days lasted sooo long, and nights too. now, i’m in my 30’s and it’s like: friday, sunday, thursday…. i mean, i miss out on at least 3 or 4 days a week. they just fly by. ok, well the theory is:
when you are a kid, everything is new. you really experience what’s going on around you, without all these mental judgements, or… whatever. then, as you get older, yoou start separating things into groups. 1.) pleasure, good 2.) pain, bad and 3.) other. well, my theory is the older you get, the less time you spend actually paying attention to what is going on. basically you spend your time chasing the good things, trying to relive those, running away from the bad stuff, the pain, and everything else, you pretty much ignore, because you are chasing and running and basically living in your head.
that’s it, my little time theory.
